XCR at the Cruden Farm 12km cross country course saw a repeat of the podiums from Bendigo with Andy Buchanan taking the top spot alongside Andre Waring and Seth O’Donnell, as did Georgia Hansen ahead of Melissa Duncan and Rachel McGuinness.

Plenty of action for Aussies at the Oslo Diamond League, with Jack Rayner setting a new 5000m personal best of 13:06.00 to move into  #3 on the all-time list, as well as World Championship Qualifier. Rose Davies in the women’s 5000m ran 15:20.37.

Brad changes plans in response to his body and runs a solid workout in the Launceston Half Marathon.
Brady has deja vu with his watch as he sets a 10k PB at Launceston as he recaps his race.
Julian recovers from the previous week and gets some runs out with Surf Coast Track Club.

There were fast times at the Launceston Running Festival, with Brett Robinson taking the win in the half marathon in 1:01:56 despite some less than ideal weather conditions at the start, ahead of Liam Adams and Joel Tobin-White. Sinead Diver won the half marathon in 1:11:14, clear of Abigail Nordberg and Vanessa Wilson
Jess Stenson took out the 10km setting a Course Record of 31:49, and joined the show to chat about the race, her current training and plans moving ahead. Leanne Pompeani and Eloise Wellings rounded out the podium. Launceston local James Hansen won the men’s 10k race in 28:49 over Kieren Perkins and Riley Cocks.

Catriona Bisset posted a 1:59.73 for a season’s best in a deep field at the Roma Diamond League 800m. Jack Rayner paced the 5000m, taking the field through 3000m in 7:42.

Ed Trippas set a qualifier and new personal best of 8:20.29 in the Men’s Steeplechase at the NCAA Track & Field Finals in Oregon.

Portland Track Festival featured Amy Cashin taking out the Women’s 3000m Steeplechase in 9:27.91, while Pat Tiernan also took out a win in the Men’s 5000m in 13:19.14. Charlie Hunter of Union Athletic Club ran 1:45.58 in the 800m.

Joseph Deng returns to form starting with a 3rd place at the 800m in 1:46.77 at Trond Mohn Games, Norway then posts his 4th fastest time ever with a 1:44.69 at the Meeting National de l’Est Lyonnais in France, while teammate Peter Bol posts a huge 7 second PB of 3:35.89 to win the 1500m.

Georgia Griffith took out the win in Jessheim, Norway setting a long awaited 1500m PB in 4:03.95, paced by Box Hill teammate Ellie Sanford.

Georgia then backed it up by setting another 1500m personal best of 4:00.16 at the Rabat Diamond League meet, moving to #3 on the all-time list and creating a potential quandary for championship selection. Linden Hall in the same race ran 4:03.29 for 9th place, while Rose Davies ran a 3000m personal best of 8:49.86

Wayne Spies backed up from the Noosa Marathon to win the Brisbane Marathon, while Victorian Erchana Murray-Bartlett won the women’s race ahead of her upcoming journey from Cape York to Port Melbourne.

This week’s listener questions also double as this week’s edition of Training Talk presented by Lululemon, who start off with the half-marathon specific workout of 3x3km at race pace with a 3 minute jog recovery from Moose, or 2x6km with a 2 minute float from Brad, then go into the importance of training at sub-threshold pace and long runs.

Brad recovers from Sydney 10 by taking Fashions on the Field in Wagga Wagga.
Julian begins the steady process of running again.
Brady rallies the Bats to their maiden Premier Division victory at Jells XC Relays.

At the Sound Running Track Meet in California USA, Brett Robinson missed the 10,000m World Champs Standard running 27:51.51, two seconds behind first place finisher Zouhair Talbi of Morocco.
Rose Davies hit the 10000m World Champs Standard to run 31:18.54 for third place and 4th all-time for Australia. Izzy Batt-Doyle was 7th for a time of 31:58.25.
Paige Campbell 15:36 6th in the Women’s B 5000m while in the Men’s B 5000m featured Jack Bruce in 8th with 13:51.93, Mick Stanovsek in 10th with 13:57 while Isaac Heyne was a DNF.
Nat Rule achieved the World Champs Standard and a PB of 15:06.5 to come 3rd in the race and 7th fastest all-time in Australia, two weeks after the Gifu Half Marathon.
Jakob Ingebrigsten headlined Men’s 5000m taking it out in 13:02.03 while Sam McEntee was 11th in 13:24.
Carley Thomas ran 2:03:58 to place 5th in the Women’s B 800m while Abby Caldwell ran 4:05.55 to place 6th in the Women’s 1500m.
