Andy Buchanan took out the Run For the Kids 14.4km Long Course in Melbourne in 42:28, with Liam Adams and Andre Waring following. Charlotte Wilson was the first female in 51:47, with Chei Ear and Madeleine Gwynne on the podium.

332: World Cross Country Team Announcement | NCAA D1 Indoor Championships | Nagoya Marathon

Australian team for World Cross Championships announced for Belgrade, Serbia held Saturday 30th March. The team notably will field full teams except for the Open Women’s Team which will only feature Paige Campbell and Melissa Duncan from winning the trials at Stromlo, as well as the fact that competing and representing Australia will come at the expense of the athlete. Notable Australian performances in the NCAA Indoor Championships included Ky Robinson representing Stanford running 13:27.79 for 3rd place in the 5000m final and 7:46.13 for 5th place in the 3000m, both won by Nico Young for Northern Arizona. Adam Spencer for Wisconsin produced a kick to come second in the Mile in 4:01.92, just behind winner Luke Houser of Washington, while Hayley Kitching came 4th in the 800m in 2:02.16 representing Penn State.NCAA D1 Indoor Championships Results
Yuka Ando took out the Nagoya Women’s Marathon 2:21:18, Eloise Wellings pulled out after 30km, while Camille French of New Zealand was 9th 2:28:23. Rosie Weber was the top Australian in a personal best time of 2:38:47 for 21st.

Jesse Hunt joins the show, fresh from his 1500m performance at the Bankstown NSW Milers meet where he came second behind Cameron Myers and ahead of Jake Wightman just missing the Olympic Qualifier. Jesse talks about his time at the University of North Carolina and the presence of MJ, joining OAC Oceania under Craig Mottram and how his agency arrangement is handled, as well as what he studied at college and his interests outside of running.
OAC Oceania made their presence known at Canberra Track Classic with Claudia Hollingsworth running 1:58.81 to win the 800m in an Olympic Qualifier, and breaking her own u20 National Record just ahead of teammate Bendere Oboya in 1:59.22 and Sarah Billings in 2:00.55. Payton Craig, who had recently signed with On Running, took out the 800m in 1:45.91 ahead of Luke Boyes and Jack Lunn.Connor Whitely won the Men’s 1500m in 3:40.09 ahead of James Hansen and Will Lewis, while Jodie McCann of Ireland won in 4:14.05 ahead of Jaylah Hancock Cameron and Rebekah Greene of New Zealand.Ed Trippas and Brielle Erbacher each won their respective 3000m Steeplechase races.Canberra Track Classic Results
Jess Hull came 4th in 8:24.39 for an Oceania Record in the 3000m final of the World Indoor Athletics Championships held in Glasgow, with Elle St Pierre of the USA winning the gold medal in 8:20.87, ahead of Guduf Tsegay of Ethiopia and Beatrice Chepkoech running a Kenyan National Record.Josh Kerr of Scotland continued his rich vein of form winning the 3000m ahead of Yared Nuguse of USA and Selemon Barega of Ethiopia.Catriona Bisset placed 5th in her semi-final in a time of 2:00. Osaka Marathon in cold, drizzly conditions won by Kiyoto Hirabayashi, in a debut Japanese National Record of 2:06:19 ahead of Stephen Kissa of Uganda. Dean Menzies was the first Australian in 2:18:51.
Waganesh Dagefa of Ethiopia was first across the line in 2:24:20, while Lisa Weightman was consistent with 3rd in 2:24:43, Tara Palm 8th in 2:32:25 while Ellie Pashley withdrew midrace.
Cameron Myers wins the 1500m at NSW Milers Meet at Bankstown in an Olympic Qualifier of 3:33.30, with Jesse Hunt running a breakout 3:33.64 just off the Qualifier with Jake Wightman of Great Britain in third at a stacked field.

She then discusses her focus for the track after her Valencia Marathon, nutrition for races such as the 5000m and her marathons, and working with Precision Fuel and Hydration for the best results.

Henry Rono, legend of Kenyan distance running, has passed away aged 72. Rono was famous for setting four world records in four different events in the span of 81 days in 1978, during his time as a student athlete with Washington State University, but unfortunately never competed at the Olympics due to Kenya’s boycott of the 1976 and 1980 games.Let’s Run Article

Kelvin Kiptum, the marathon world record holder of Kenya aged 24 has died in a road accident alongside his coach, Gervais Hakizimana of Rwanda who was the national record holder in the steeplechase. Kiptum burst onto the athletics scene with his record debut in the 2022 Valencia Marathon in 2:01:35, then went to set the course record at the 2023 London Marathon in 2:01:25 before becoming the first man to run under two hours and one minute with his performance of 2:00:35 at the 2023 Chicago Marathon, which was just ratified as the world record just last week.
