Gary talks about his progression from volunteer to Head Coach and gives some background on how the NCAA school system works in terms of competing and recruiting, before opening on his philosophies on coaching and developing athletes. Mark recounts his training with the AIS and the Blue Dove, as well as some of the highlights of his career including the Chiba Ekiden and training for the Sydney 2000 Olympics before switching to a career in teaching. He then talks post professional athletic career about dabbling in triathlon and footy before returning to running with Glenhuntly and making his debut at the marathon at Gold Coast.

She talks about her retirement from running and her motivation to returning, training with Adam Didyk and advice on returning from a break. Madeline recounts the tense leadup to the Rio Olympics where she placed 7th in the Steeplechase, before going into the necessity of balancing running with work in your life. From the low lows to the highest of highs, Julian takes his fourth consecutive at the Great Ocean Road Marathon victory. With a very tense leadup and constant testing of his foot all the way to the starting line, Julian gives play-by-play recount of the tactics, climbs and surges of the race that lead to a thrilling duel with Pete Kerr.

Julian debriefs and gives feedback on this years event which leads to the segue into Moose on the Loose, taking aim at with the lack of availability of on course and post race facilities. He then examines relationship between himself and the GOR Running Festival, before going into the post race rituals.
Meanwhile, Brad gets locked out of Mulligans before finding a side gate and feels good working on his kickdowns, looking ahead to Christchurch Half Marathon in the next 2 weeks setting his goals and expectations for the race.
Brady steps his easy pace back down and continues his treadmill experiment with Monash to sort his nutrition, and vainly chases a Strava segment before his coach Richard strips things back to simplify his tempo workouts.
It was an even bigger weekend in racing with the Ultra Trail Australia also taking place on the weekend, and Dave ‘Robbo’ Robertson interviews 22km winners and course record holders Lucy Bartholomew and Ben St Lawrence, before setting off into the 50km race the next day.

Virginia recounts race week and settling in the Comm Games Village, her headspace on race morning and how the race unfolded, dealing with the infamous heat as well as managing her body to make the distance.
