She looks back at the decision between pursuing fashion design and running out of high school before heading over to Purdue University, recounting some of the challenging experiences in the US before transferring back home to New Zealand, going through multiple coaches before finally joining the Melbourne Track Club and seeing first-hand the culture of hard work and confidence.
