Madeline Hills & Ellie Pashley joins Brady for their turn at co-hosting the Inside Running spinoff.

 

Ellie’s coming off Gold Coast half marathon, back training in cold weather and preparing for the Sunshine Coat Half Marathon and more.

Madeline talks about where she’s been for the last few months, coming off hamstring surgery, how it came about and why the extensive choice to pursue surgery as well as some insight how the eligibility for the National Athlete Support Structure works.

With the Sunshine Coast Half in 2 weeks time, the conversation turns to the massive incentive to break 69 minutes for the fastest half marathon on Australian soil and the question of how does Ellie beat Sinead?

Ellie discusses Moose’s progression as an athlete after his selection in the Doha World team and asks Madeline for advice for performing in a championship race.

 

The girls then answer some listener questions ranging from what its like an online coach, running with pets, the possibility of taking on different distances, the best coaching advice they’ve ever received and tracking calorie intake, before touching on Women’s 800m at London Diamond League that saw Catriona Bisset run the new National Record with Morgan Mitchell also running a Doha qualifier and a strong run from Carley Thomas.

Madeline Hills will be running the Melbourne 10K in October and Run Melbourne 10k as a Run 4 Refugees Ambassador while fundraising the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.
