Ed Marks for Glenhuntly won the Bendigo St Annes 8k XC ahead of Andy Buchanan for Bendigo and Seth O’Donnell for Mentone, with Bendigo Region the winning team in Premier Division.
Katherine Dowie from Ballarat won the women’s Open 8km XC ahead of Jessica Coyne and Bianca Puglisi, with Sandringham the winning team for Premier Division.

European Championships featured Jakob Ingebrigsten taking the 1500m title in a smoothly run 3:31.95, while Nadia Battocletti of Italy won the 10000m amid concerns for British athlete Jessica Warner-Judd.

Sarah Billings took out the 1500m at the Belgium Night of Athletics, in 4:06.26. Stewy McSweyn also won his 1500m race posting a season best time of 3:35.44, while Ky Robinson ran a personal best 13:15.61 in the 5000m, with Sebastian Frey in 13:20.65 and Dave McNeill running 14:27.82

Abbey Caldwell won the 800m in 1:59.79 at Meeting Nikaia, France. Bendere Oboya 2:00.64 and Carley Thomas 2:01.93. Cameron Myers placed second in the Men’s 1500m running 3:33.93, with Jack Anstey 3:35.37 and Jesse Hunt 3:39.33

Faith Kipyegon secured her place for Team Kenya in Paris, winning both the 1500m and 5000m at Kenyan Olympic Trials, while Emmanuel Wanyonyi ran the third fastest 800m of all time in 1:41.70 after overcoming some drama in the heats.

Yomif Kejelcha sets a World Leading 26:31.01 in Hengelo at the Ethiopian 10000 m Olympic Trial race in Nerja, Spain which saw him prevail in a sprint finish against Berihu Aregawi in 26:31.13 and Selemon Barega, with a total 6 athletes running under 26:50.
