Jacob Kiplimo of Uganda defends his title at World Cross Country Championships in Belgrade, Serbia, ahead of Berihu Aregawi of Ethiopia and Benson Kiplangat of Kenya. In the team medals, Team Kenya took home the gold medal with a team score of 19, with Uganda winning silver and Ethiopia the bronze.
Australian men’s team placed 5th overall, as the placings follow:

Beatrice Chebet also won back to back titles, leading a Kenyan clean sweep with Lillian Rengeruk taking the silver medal and Margaret Kipkemboi the bronze. Kenya thus won the team title with the lowest possible score of 10 points, ahead of Ethiopia in second and Uganda in third.
Paige Campbell was the top Australian in 31st place, with Melissa Duncan persevering in 53rd.

Abbey Caldwell won the Australian Mile Championship at the Albie Thomas Mile at The Crest, Bankstown running 4:30.50 ahead of Lauren Ryan and Maudie Skyring. Jesse Hunt won the Men’s Mile Championship in 3:59.09, outlasting Jack Anstey and Riley Bryce.
Luke Boyes carried his momentum to win the 800m ahead of Peter Bol and Cameron Myers, while Jess Hull won the Women’s A 800m in 2:03.02 ahead of Imogen Barrett and Bendere Oboya.
Albie Thomas Results
Adam Spencer ran 1:47.47 to win the 800m at Stanford Invitational, while Ky Robinson ran 13:35.95 in the 5000m, then followed up running 28:15.12 in the 10000m.
