Naoki Koyama of Japan runs 2:07:40 to win the Gold Coast Marathon in a new course record. Ezekiel Kemboi Omullo from Kenya was in second place in 2:08:26. Liam Adams set a personal best in 2:08:39 for third place and the Oceania Marathon Championship, to move to 5th on the all time list and breaking Rob De Castella’s Australian-comers record set at the 1982 Brisbane Commonwealth Games. Friends of the show Ed Goddard came 8th in a new personal best of 2:12:52, while Tim Vincent debuted in 2:17:17 to win the Queensland Marathon Championship.
Rodah Tanui of Kenya won in 2:27:10 adding to her 2019 victory, ahead of compatriot Ruth Chebetok in 2:28:17. Gen Gregson made her stellar debut 2:28:35 for third place, first Australian and Oceania Marathon Champion, with fellow Aussies Eloise Wellings in 2:31:38, and Marnie Ponton in 2:34:28.

Brett Robinson defended his title in the Half Marathon winning in 62:16, over a spirited Keijiro Mogi of Japan in 62:20, followed by surprise Kiwi Cameron Avery for third in 62:50.
Kiera D’Amato won the women’s race in 66:38 to set a new US National Record, with pacing from Ben St Lawrence who joined onstage to talk about his lead up and how it all unfolded from his perspective. For the Australians Leanne Pompeani 69:07 was second overall followed by Ellie Pashley in 69:25, with Izzi Batt-Doyle third Australian 69:45.

Lisa Weightman broke her own course record in the 10k running 32:09 to break her 2012 mark, while Dale Carroll from Box Hill won the race outright in 29:29.

Gold Coast Marathon Complete Results
Ky Robinson set a personal best of 13:20.96 in the 5000m at the Lausanne Diamond League in Switzerland, which saw Berihu Aregawi hold off Joshua Cheptegei for a World Lead of 12:40.45. Catriona Bisset ran 1:58.95 for fourth in the 800m, while Stewart McSweyn found some form in the 1500m with 3:32.85 as Jakob Ingebrigsten continues to dominate in 3:28.72

Cameron Myers once again breaks his personal best and U18/U20 records with a 3:35.88 at Troyes, France just two weeks on from breaking his previous best.
