As we enter race week of the 2021 Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival, the boys are joined by Izzy Batt-Doyle ahead of her debut in the Melbourne Half Marathon and Riley Cocks making his debut in the Melbourne Marathon. Both share how their respective lead-ups to the races have gone and the coaching and advice they’ve received along the way, and what their goals are for the race.

Oli Hoare sets a new Australian 5000m Indoor Record of 13:09.96 at Boston University, becoming the 4th fastest Australian of all time and qualifying for the World Championships in Eugene, Oregon 2022.

Valencia Marathon was won by Lawrence Cherono in 2:05:10, while Geoffrey Kamworor came third in his return race from injury. Nancy Jelagat won the women’s race in 2:19:31 to make it a Kenyan-clean sweep on the top of the podiums.
