Two listener questions this week, firstly asking about post long run nutrition and secondly whether mid-pack runners should have a shoe rotation.

Moose is confused gets cut.

Jamie Harrison is this week’s guest and the “Fun Run King” shares years of training diaries with Brad, going about getting his progression and breakthrough as a junior runner, coming fourth and running in the era of Mona, Deeks & Carroll. Jamie talks about why he preferred running track to the roads, racing on average once a week and training in the days before GPS watches, as well as the changes to the overall fun run scene and how elite runners dictate their race schedule now compared to his day. They also go in-depth into training as an elite runner while studying to become a doctor, competing as a masters runner while the body ages and how runners should deal with healing their injuries and who the best practitioner to see is.
