Jess starts the story from the last six months, in what was the then lead up to the Penrith marathon trial before injury struck and was forced to withdraw. Jess shares with Brad and Julian the details of her training program in terms of loading, specificity and paces while combining with cross training to supplement her volume.
After arriving in Perth and getting a lay of the course and expectations, Jess recaps the race and her pacing strategy with teammate Matt Clarke leading the way to 32km and responding to her intuition.
